The 39-story Peninsula Bangkok is designed in a W-shaped floor plan, providing river views for each guestroom. The hotel tower sits on a large block, comprising a display lawn, two outdoor dining areas, two tennis courts, and a three-tiered pool stretching more than 50 meters (150 feet), surrounded by a sundeck with deck chairs, umbrellas, and poolside bar.

The hotel is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. A complimentary riverboat shuttle transports guests to the other side of the river.
