Saigon, Vietnam
Ben Thanh Market has been one of the most popular spots in Saigon for both Vietnamese and foreigners alike. Ben Thanh market was built from bricks and wooden frames.
There was a fire in 1870 that damaged parts of the market. It was rebuilt in 1911 and renovated in 1975 and 1985. The image of Ben Thanh market with the clock tower is normally used as an icon of the city. With over 3000 stalls in the market, there is nothing you cannot find in this oldest and busiest market in Vietnam.
