Can Tho Exploration

Can Tho, Vietnam

Enjoy a walking or biking tour of Can Tho.

The Mekong Delta is the richest agricultural area in Vietnam. The Mekong River is known to the Vietnamese as Cuu Long, meaning "Nine Dragons". After making its long journey from the Tibetan Plateau, the river splits into numerous small winding tributaries, wide flowing streams and low lying island to form the Mekong Delta.

The region is referred to as Vietnam's "rice Bowl" from where farmers produce coconuts, sugar cane, a variety of fruit, fresh seafood and of course rice. Blending into the patchwork of rice paddies are small villages and towns resting on the river bank where urban dwellers ply their bustling commercial trade.
