This colourful art installation is conveniently situated just outside the Arashiyama train station and contains 600 pillars decorated with vibrant kimono textiles. The kimono forest can be toured by day or night, with evening visits more amazing with each pillar illuminated by LED lights, providing an enchanting atmosphere to the entire region. Kimono Lane leads to a tiny pond where, while making a wish, locals send their prayers.
