Paro, Bhutan
Visit the picturesque ruins of the once massive Drukgyel Dzong, located at the head of the Paro Valley, with the sweeping valley below and towering, sacred Chomolhari Mountain above.
This Dzong is of historical importance, from whose ramparts the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invaders. On a clear day one can view the sacred Mount Chhomolari, Mountain of Goddess (24,000 ft).
Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang and other historical monuments of the Paro valley.
