Gotta See It: China's Red Beach

Part of the largest wetland & reed marsh in the world, few sights compare to the seemingly endless expanse of crimson that takes over China’s ethereal Red Beach each autumn. First sprouting in spring, the light green seepweed which carpets the wetland transforms into an other-worldly sea of red throughout the fall months, and during this period you will find more than 250 species of birds and other coastal creatures set against one of the country’s most dramatic backdrops. Now a national scenic spot, a leisurely wooden path has been built atop the marshland to allow visitors to take in the jaw-dropping landscape in a way never before possible.
