Osaka, Japan
Enjoy a visit to Kuromon Market, affectionately referred to by the locals as “Osaka’s Kitchen”.
With a history dating back to almost 200 years ago, Kuromon Market is a lively market home to over 150 stalls selling fresh fish, meat and vegetables.
Walk through the market and mingle with the professional chefs, amateur enthusiasts and local housewives drawn to the market by the variety of fresh, high quality products. For street food fans, many of the vendors will cook their seafood for buyers on the spot, allowing visitors to enjoy curbside feasts composed of grilled oysters, scallops, sea urchin, sushi and, on occasion, Kobe Beef.
