This bohemian district is popular for its numerous theater halls, indie cafes, trendsetting bars and second-hand, vintage clothing shops. Part of its appeal comes from the fact that many of its labyrinthine alleyways are too narrow for vehicles to pass through, making Shimokitazawa the perfect area to explore on foot.
