Constructed in 1958 and modeled after the iconic Eifel Tower in Paris, this 1057' tower serves as a Tokyo landmark as well as a broadcast antenna.It is the 2nd tallest structure in Japan after the Skytree (also in Tokyo).
Interesting fact: One third of the steel used in construction was scrap from damaged American tanks from the Korean War
