Tuk Tuk Excursion through Sihanoukville

Depart the port in the comfort of a tuk-tuk, while learning about the cultural importance of the sights you’ll see.

Enjoy a street-level view of Sihanoukville’s highlights. The beach will be one of the first sights along your tuk-tuk route, which will be narrated via a listening device provided for each guest. No doubt you will agree, Sihanoukville’s uncrowded white-sand beaches shaded by coconut palms present an alluring picture of paradise.

In time, you may also see the gleaming Golden Lions Monument in the middle of a highway roundabout near the beaches. The monument’s male lion is roaring and supposedly represents Cambodia’s turbulent past. The crouching lioness looks serene and is said to symbolize the country’s present peace and tranquility.

You will also pass one of Sihanoukville’s most energetic locales — Phsar Leu, a market with more than 1,000 vendors in upper town. Here, locals shop for fresh seafood and fruits and vegetables such as rose apple and tamarind. Chances are, the enticing aroma of food cooking on braziers will be wafting through the air.
